Week 7 of SFF Soccer Cubs Spring Season has come and gone. Saturday we had another fantastic turn out for Cubs and Mr. Sun was on our backs from the get go. Coach Maria took charge and quickly got the attention of our smallest cubs (not always an easy job J ) and after some very important stretches lead the class into some fun games including Sky Scrapers and a very colorful obstacle course. A came of Traffic lights got everyone on their feet in their imaginary cars and coach Zapporah had the fun job of running around with a bubble gun at the end of class – closely followed by some very happy cubs.

Tiger cubs classes was as always a huge turn out and our stretching circle was at capacity! Our games today included some fun obstacle course type games but as always soccer was the main focus and a fun game Traffic Lights with the soccer balls allowed our cubs to show off their ball control skills while following Coach Maria’s instructions. Coach Zapporah took to tuckering out our 3 year old cubs with an energetic game of Foxes and chickens and again the bubble gun finish was a huge hit! Last but not least our biggest cubs – Lion cubs got their turn. A quick game of “Simon Says” got everyone working with their soccer balls. This week we introduced a new game to our

Lion Cubs “Stuck in the Mud” and while Mud Monster (Coach Maria) tried to catch our speedy cubs, they helped each other out of their sticky situation, using their soccer balls of course. A Penalty shoot-out was the end game of choice today and we can clearly see some talent in this bunch when it comes to striking the ball.

Season 1 is quickly drawing to a close but we are delighted to announce Registration for Season 2 (Summer Season) opens today Monday April 28th check out the Registration tab!!
